High Level Disinfection offers significant cost saving advantages over sterilization methods. For example, ReNú's non-toxic method of HLD has the proven ability to turn an individual medical device 2-3 times more than a sterilizing reprocessor which equates to 2-3 times the cost savings. Additionally, with our quick turn around time, two weeks compared to 8-12 weeks, less inventory is required thus saving you even more money. Finally, ReNú has the proven lowest discard rate in the industry (< 10% on average) allowing you to get more devices back. These advantages offer significant savings far above other reprocessors.

HLD Benefits
High-level disinfection (HLD) is NOT sterilization. Our process uses nothing more dangerous than high temperature water. No chemicals or carcinogens are used as in sterilization methods. We utilize a pasteurization method that reaches temperatures high enough to kill all viruses, bacteria, and a majority of spores. No harmful air emissions are released into the environment and no chemical residue is left on the device. This method is supported by the CDC, APIC, and other healthcare organizations. Besides, HLD is more cost effective, offers more reprocessing cycles per device, and allows a higher turn around time than sterilization. Education
All of ReNú's customers undergo a customized comprehensive in-service program. Our representatives conduct training for every shift and every department with no disruption to the day-to-day activities of the staff. Our training is on-going with regular site visits from your ReNú representative.

Process Overview

• Receiving and Tracking: Each healthcare facility's devices are sorted and barcoded with our unique tracking system upon receipt. Devices are always segregated by facility. There is no intermingling of product.
• Pre-cleaning: Proprietary methods of cleaning the devices are employed in the pre-cleaning stage. This step removes gross contamination, identifies damaged devices, and prepares product for high-level disinfection.
• HLD: Products are placed in our chemical-free high-level disinfection equipment.
• Post-HLD Inspection: One hundred percent (100%) of all devices are thoroughly and intensively visually inspected before going to the testing phase.
• Testing: Using specially designed equipment and proprietary methods in a clean room environment, one hundred percent (100%) of devices are thoroughly tested for function and numerous other criteria by highly trained personnel.
• Packaging/Shipping: Those devices that completely pass both visual and functional testing are then packaged and shipped to the appropriate facility.
